During the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Peking Union Medical College dispatched pioneering medical specialists to Guizhou. Guizhou provided them with a safe environment for education and practice. In return, they left a lasting legacy—a "little PUMC" that continues to serve the region.
